“ In 1998 I made what I felt was a life changing decision to move away from a small local private practice and joined CPL as a Property Lawyer. The vision of CPL was completely new to me, a volume conveyancer dealing with thousands of transactions was a daunting thought. However, career progression is important to me and I could see my future with CPL. I wanted to be able to make a difference to a Company whilst feeling fulfilled in my career.
Before long I had applied for and was successful in my application to become a Team Manager, responsible for a large team including Senior Property Lawyers, Property Lawyers and Legal Assistants which meant my legal skills were then enhanced with management skills.
CPL are keen on personal development, providing in-house and external training and looking for my next challenge after 4/5 years of management experience, I was successful in applying for the position of a Project Manager, responsible for the introduction of a new case management system. Again, the role was very different to what I had been used to but certainly provided a new challenging opportunity, once again enhancing my development.
A further opportunity arose in 2004 and I became a Legal Manager for CPL, responsible for, amongst other things, compliance, policy and complaints, within our Manchester centre.
In 2006 my daughter was born and I returned to work part-time. CPL were extremely supportive before and during my maternity leave and have been even more so on my return to my position on a part time basis, ensuring I am able to continue with my career by providing challenging and rewarding work during this phase of my life.
The Company and my colleagues have provided the support needed to progress my career and 10 years later I look back and realise how fulfilled I have felt throughout my whole career with CPL, and this is just the beginning! ”
